Everything started in Brazil in 2006… at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

From Rio to São Paulo and later San Diego during my PhD, I immersed myself in microbiology, biotechnology, and coral reef science, joining projects and expeditions across the world – including Antarctica, the Caribbean, and Australia – experiences that shaped both my research and my sense of wonder.

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked on applied conservation projects — from developing solutions for oil pollution to biofuel production and coral reef research. For the past five years, I’ve been based in the Red Sea as a Research Scientist, leading and contributing to coral reef restoration projects, research initiatives, and scientific expeditions.

After working in science for over 18 years, something shifted. I realized I didn’t just want to understand the ocean — I wanted people to feel closer to it. So I chose to take a more intentional step into science communication.

Photography, filmmaking, and storytelling became key on this new path.

Today, I work as an Impact Partner at a research institution, supporting scientists and leadership in turning research into real-world solutions, strengthening pathways to impact, and clearly communicating our stories to local and global audiences.

Last but not least, I am co-founder of Bravo Impact, a production company created to help brands and organizations turn their mission into authentic narratives that drive change — earning the recognition they deserve while delivering real-world impact.
